Please join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am!
When we gather together, we listen deeply to each other and God’s spirit and experience the simple joy of being together.
We welcome your presence.
Please check out our calendar for specific information.
A lot has changed in communal life since covid. At 1st Cov, we’ve shifted to a community-led gathering model that prioritizes relationships, listening and slowing down in an intimate setting where each of us can feel seen and heard. We offer a variety of gathering styles to help us relate to God and each other in diverse ways, challenging and nurturing the growth of trust, love and discovery.
A typical month at 1st Cov will engage with a Scripture Story from a variety of approaches:
A Contemplative Sunday hosted by Carma Gjerning focuses on experiential interaction with the Story, listening and learning in creative ways.
A Scripture Study Sunday, hosted by Daniel Lukas, offering gentle invitations to see freshly and share new insights about the Story. We share Communion at these gatherings to experience the physical reality of our faith.
A Community Table gathering that includes sharing a meal.
Our fourth Sunday is typically reflective in which we consider how we’ve engaged with the Story over the month, what it means to us and how we’re bringing that Story forward into our lives. These could include broader social justice discussions or meeting with community members including folks from the Healing Block.
While different styles appeal to different people, we invite you to step into the variety of these offerings and trust that each has something beautiful, filling and refreshing for you. We think you’ll be as surprised and encouraged as we have been. Join our circle and find out for yourself.
