The ACTION Project is a yearlong event involves congregations and faith communities who are willing to make “A Commitment To Inclusion in Our Neighborhoods” (acronym: ACTION). Designed and guided by Rev. Jia Starr Brown, this racial and social justice journey involves commitment, listening, reflection, and action – all in one year!
Each faith community will take the IDI (Intercultural Development Inventory) and journey together learning and growing from a variety of events, book groups, and community-based activities. Then, a year later all participating congregations will retake the IDI assessment once again to gauge their growth.
-Information Session and Training on Wednesday, October 14 from 6-7pm. On this date we will talk about the IDI, why we need it, and how we will use it.
-Debriefing Session on Wednesday, October 28 from 6-8pm. On this date we will discuss the outcomes from our IDI assessments and talk about what lies ahead with the ACTION Project.
Please add these dates to your calendar. For more information, reach out to Pastor Jia at jstarrbrown@1stcov.org.
