Dan Collison has been serving churches for nineteen years; “I love helping people discover the purpose and joy of serving and knowing Jesus.” Dan received a Doctoral degree in Ministry from Fuller Seminary (CA), a Master’s degree in Divinity from Bethel Seminary (MN), and a Bachelor’s degree from The Eastman School of Music (NY). Before becoming a pastor, Dan and his wife, Holly, ran an adult foster care home for men with developmental disabilities where he learned the importance and rewards of servanthood. Dan has a passion for leading people into fresh encounters with God: “”How can God reach people through the 21st century church?” Dan lives in downtown Minneapolis with Holly and their sons, Walker and Atley. Scott Barsuhn brings 30 years experience as a ministry leader, designer, and communications consultant to churches, nonprofit organizations, and corporations. At First Covenant, he is passionately involved in ministry expansion, leadership development, communication, and creative ideation. Scott lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Shelly, and children, Sophia and Sam. He enjoys art, volunteering, biking, theatre, family time, the dog, and Ely, MN. Joel brings over ten years of experience as a worship leader, music director, and ministry leader. Joel says, “I want to focus on relationally shepherding, organizing, and developing the Worship & Arts ministry of First Covenant.” His passion is worshipping God with every part of his life and challenging and inspiring others to do the same. He loves listening to and making music and eating Kettle potato chips and Chipotle burritos. He was raised in Pierre, South Dakota. He is married to Nicole (“She's the best person I know.”), and is father to curly-haired, blue-eyed Willow who is almost a year old. Pastor of Children and Families - Kyliah Villa Email:

Kyliah joined our pastoral team in October 2008. She holds an MDiv. from Fuller Seminary, and a B.A. in Spanish from Calvin College. Before she came to us she taught in the public schools as a corps member with Teach For America, and later worked with a non-profit organization in the area of community development. She loves children, the outdoors, travel, and talking with people about Jesus. She loves to plan ministry opportunities that are multi-generational and welcoming to the neighborhood. She and her husband John live in Northeast Minneapolis and are the proud parents of two young children; Samantha and Andreu. Pastor of Students and Young Adults - Todd Bratulich Email:

Todd brings over 15 years of experience serving youth and young adults in a variety of settings. He received a B.A. in Youth Ministry from Bethel University and his M.A. in Theological Studies from Bethel Seminary. Before coming to First Covenant, Todd served as a Jr. High Pastor, a Social Studies Teacher to international high school students and as the Mission Director for YouthWorks, a non-profit youth missions and service organization based in Minneapolis. These experiences have given Todd a passion to see people and communities reconciled across all boundaries and transformed by the love of God as we participate together in the mission of God. He lives in St. Paul with his wife Jenni and daughter Solveigh, where he loves to bike, play the guitar, take Solveigh to the park and root for the Twins. Jennifer has been ministering in churches for most of her life. At eleven, she began playing piano for Sunday night services at her dad’s inner city church and later at New Life homeless shelter on Chicago’s south side. She has seen lives transformed by the power of God and the Bible. Jennifer received a B.A. in Christian Education from Wheaton College and worked as a youth and Christian education director. After moving to Minnesota in 1982, Jennifer led women’s ministries, directed mission trips to Central America with her husband, taught at Crown College, and directed children and adult choral programs while on staff at Wooddale Church. She completed a two-year Certification in Spiritual Formation from Bethel Seminary’s Master’s degree program. Her passion is to come alongside people and help them—through discipleship and pastoral care ministries—experience God in their lives. Jennifer and her husband Mark have two grown children and one perfect granddaughter.
