First Covenant Audio MessagesOctober25 October 2009 Pastor Dan Collison Title: "Collaborating in Healthy Leadership" (The Collaboratively Led Church) Summary: The New Testament is an amazing study of leadership development in the early Christian church. The process was very fluid and dynamic, however, specific principles emerged as the church grew: 1) All Christians should have a ministry, 2) God gives some Christians to be leaders in the Church, 3) Church leadership is always plural, 4) Some leaders emerge as "first among equals", 5) Leadership and ministry are designed to be "gift based", 6) Leadership is recognized and affirmed amidst Christian community.

4 October 2009 Pastor Dan Collison Title: "Seeking Justice for Everyone Else"Series: Church Without Walls (Part IX) Text: Micah 6:8; Matthew 22:34-40 Summary: The prophet Micah came from a small town and yet was personally impacted by the social injustices of the surrounding urban centers of power. Civic and religious leaders were notorious for stealing land and houses from people of lesser position. Adding insult to injury was the manner in which some of this was done in the name of God and on behalf of the religious community. Micah spoke into these egregious circumstances with a clear message from God. His three imperative commands are critically relevant to Christian life in the twenty-first century and how we become socially aware of the people around us.
